Ignite Youth Employment Services is our flagship, MSD-HPR funded programme supporting rangitahi into employment, training, or further education. The programme delivers intensive 8-week pre-employment training courses, with up to 12 rangitahi per cohort.
Participants develop personal leadership, mental wellbeing, fitness and nutrition knowledge, and practical employability skills, alongside supported work experience. The programme is designed to build confidence, resilience, and work
readiness while addressing barriers to employment.

Ignite is underpinned by a minimum of six months of post-programme pastoral care, ensuring ongoing support as participants transition into sustainable employment or education pathways.
Since its inception in 2021, more than 200 rangitahi have graduated across 17 Ignite programmes, with 80% successfully moving into employment or further education. Ignite is recognised as Hawke’s Bay’s most intensive youth employment
intervention programme.
In 2025 Ignite also became a preferred provider for Community Job Coaching for MSD - personalised, one-on-one employment support for jobseekers. Our Job Coaches help participants overcome barriers, build work readiness, and move
into sustainable employment, training, or education through tailored coaching and ongoing in-work support.
