Development
Our focus is on strengthening mental and physical wellbeing, particularly for youth and those facing barriers to employment. Through education, mentoring and practical training, we support participants to build confidence, take responsibility for themselves, and positively contribute to their whānau and wider community.
Formed in May 2021, the Maca Sports Leadership Charitable Trust is based at the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Community Training Centre in Tamatea, Napier.
We provide leadership and wellbeing programmes that support young people across Hawke’s Bay to reach their potential.
We deliver a range of programmes including pre-employment and leadership courses, driver mentoring, in-school programmes, health and wellbeing education —creating pathways into employment, education and positive life outcomes.
Passionate about supporting young people to thrive and lead.
My purpose in life is to help others realise and reach for their potential. Inspiring others and organisations to be a ‘Better Version of Self’.
I have worked in the sports, community and youth space for over 25 years in a variety of roles and organisations including codes, schools, not for profits. I have now transferred skills learnt in sport into a passion for people development.
Every MSLCT programme is designed to meet young people where they are, building practical skills in a safe, supportive environment.
